In a significant shake-up of the Modi 3.0 cabinet, notable BJP  former  Ministers, namely Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, and Narayan Rane, find themselves out of the ministerial fold.

smriti Irani, who previously served as the Women & Child Development Minister, faced a substantial defeat in the Lok Sabha elections from UP Amethi constituency, losing to Congress  Kishori Lal Sharma by a staggering margin of over 1.6 lakh votes. Her defeat marks a stark contrast to her historic victory over Congress Rahul Gandhi in the same constituency five years ago.

Meanwhile, Anurag Thakur, who clinched victory in the general elections from Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur seat, held pivotal portfolios in the previous government, including sports, and information and broadcasting. However, he has not secured a berth in the latest Union Cabinet under Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Similarly, Mr. Rane, the former Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Minister in Modi 2.0, faced electoral success but finds himself excluded from the ministerial lineup. He emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha elections from Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency.

Nevertheless, the Modi 3.0 cabinet boasts an array of influential BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar, Nitin Gadkari, Mansukh Mandaviya, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupendra Yadav, Prahlad Joshi, Kiren Rijiju, CR Paatil, L Murugan, Hardeep Puri, ML Khattar, Shivraj Chouhan, Gajendra Shekhawat, Suresh Gopi, and Jitin Prasada.

Moreover, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) comprises leaders from various parties, including HD Kumaraswamy, Jayant Chaudhary, Pratap Jadhav, Ram Mohan Naidu, Sudesh Mahato, and Lallan Singh, indicating a broad coalition at the helm of governance.
